Is the Family a Dying Institution?

Family is defined as a group united by marriage, blood, and/or adoption
in order to satisfy intimacy needs and/or to bear and socialize children.
For most people the family is the primary group in which to learn how to socialize
and family is an important part of any persons life.
Beginning at birth your family surrounds you with love and attention.
Your family are the first people to teach you wrong from right, they teach you how to walk and talk, and most importantly they develop you into the person you are today.
The family unit is the most important factor in a persons up bringing.
You learn your values and morals from your family.
Thus family is a crucial factor in both individual well-being as well
as a persons social life.
My grandfather was a very inflectional person in my life.
Because both of my parents were young when I was born they both had to work full time jobs,
furthermore I was raised mainly by my grandfather.
My grandfather has always been a very close person in my life and has
taught me much about the world and myself.
He was the one to raise me and has defiantly helped to shape the person I am today.
I did not have a nuclear family (consisting of a husband, wife, and children)
my parenst were not married and
rearly around to spend time with me as a child.
Many family today dont take the time to eat dinner together or ask about eachothers
days. Family's are slowly dreifting apart.
They dont trust in eachother and dont
value family time as a priority.
I believe family is essential to very persons life, yet a nuclear family is
not nessary to every person.
as long as you have a person to look up to and
to be a role model in your life.
